Swim Lessons

August 8-17

General Information 

Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety of their child/children during swim lessons while they are at the lake and must remain at the lake for the duration of their child/children’s swim lessons. Lessons will occur rain or shine. If lessons are cancelled due to hazardous weather or other concerns, we will try to contact parents/guardians using the contact information given on the registration form.

Registration and Payment Information 

Completed registration forms can be left in the Horsefly Community Club box at Clarke’s Store or emailed to Kim Harty. If you have any questions, please contact Kim. Her contact details are on the registration form. All registrations must be completed registrations PRIOR TO July 31th.

Registration Form

The cost for lessons is $20/child or $25/family. Fees can be paid by cheque, cash, or e-transferred. All fees must be paid prior to 9 am on the first day of swim lessons. If money is tight, please let us know.

First Day Information 

On August 8th, please be at the grassy beach at 9 am. The instructor will assess the swim participants and create a class schedule for the remaining 9 days. The first day can be long, so please bring snacks and warm clothes. A finalised schedule will be available after the first day of classes. 

Fun Day Information 

The last day, Aug 17, is our Fun Day, with a hosted lunch BBQ and fun activities. Fun Day is open to all swim lesson participants and their families. Please let us know on the first day of swim lessons if your child and any additional family members will be attending.

We are grateful for those that have donated towards swim lessons. Your contributions allow us to provide life-saving water safety for the children of Horsefly.
